Booking and Payment
Your SailingBreaks booking is with Andy Taylor of SailingBreaks, who is a RYA approved Commercial Yachtmaster®. Provisional bookings
made by telephone, email or web site will be held for seven days. A completed and signed booking form, together with a deposit of
£50 per crew member is required to secure a booking. The final balance of your SailingBreak must be received at least 30 days before
the start of your SailingBreak. Failure to pay the balance within 30 days will result in your SailingBreak being cancelled and your
deposit forfeited.
Cancellation
If you cancel your SailingBreak at least 30 days before the start of your SailingBreak we will refund 50% of your deposit
providing we can re-sell your berth(s). If through unforeseen circumstances we have to cancel your SailingBreak we will
offer you alternative dates. Should these dates be unacceptable to you all monies received will be fully refunded to you.
SailingBreaks will have no further liability.
Insurance
The yacht insurance for 'Brandy of Troon' does not cover you for accidents or loss or damage to personal effects unless caused
by the neglect of our Skipper Andy Taylor. It is recommended that you have adequate insurance to cover medical, personal
accident, and loss or damage to personal effects. We carry the usual marine insurance policy relating to collision and third
party liability limited to £2,000,000.
Transfers & Transport
Should you choose to accept this service be aware that SailngBreaks is not a licensed 'private hire' operator. Your payment to
us for transfers or transport, are your shared contribution to fuel costs only.
Variations
The description of 'Brandy of Troon', our SailingBreaks yacht, and her equipment is intended to be accurate but we are not
liable for any minor inaccuracies.
Fitness
All crew should be fit enough to participate in operating 'Brandy of Troon' our Moody 36 yacht. If in doubt please discuss
with us before booking.
Children
Children under sixteen are welcome on board if they are with an adult. Children under twelve are not accepted except on whole
boat charters.
Safety Equipment
'Brandy of Troon' is a fully Cat. 2 coded charter yacht, licensed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, a Department of Transport
authority. All safety equipment is provided.
Dispute
If you are unable to resolve a dispute to your satisfaction, the ASYC are able to provide an arbitration service. Their decision
will be binding on both parties. Scottish law applies.
