| What To Bring |
"What is more pleasant than a friendly little yacht, a long stretch of smooth water, a gentle breeze, the stars?" - © William Atkin (1546).
The main things to bring are a sense of fun, and a favourite CD. Bagpipes, hard shoes, industrial wellies, and suitcases are banned!! We provide all safety gear, and waterproofs. The rest of the stuff you will need:-
Clothing
Warm fleecy hat. Baseball caps fly off!
A pair of warm gloves and socks.
Fleece jacket.
Lightweight trousers and shorts.
Deck shoes or trainers.
Sailing wellies (not essential).
Night attire or tee shirt.
Other Stuff
Towel,toiletries,prescription medics.
Camera, phone (we have chargers).
Soft holdall.
Sleeping bag (we have some).
We Provide
Clean pillows and pillow cases.
Clean duvets, sheets and covers if required. These are mainly used by couples.
Lifejackets, harnesses, waterproofs all sizes.
Don't Worry About
How does the loo work? It's easy and the first thing we show you!
Will I be sea sick? Don't worry, you are in sheltered waters. We haven't had a crew member be sick in the Firth of Clyde so far, and being sick contravenes our environmental policy anyway!
In summary if you are booked on a weekend break and your gear doesn't all fit in a medium soft holdall (excluding sleeping bag), you've got too much gear! If this is your first sailing experience please don't go to the expense of special gear, give Andy a ring for advice.
